How far ahead should I submit a release?+
Submit as early as you reasonably can. NORTH. reviews releases before delivery and each store has its own processing time, so an exact go-live turnaround is not guaranteed.
Which stores and platforms can NORTH. send to?+
Eligible releases can be delivered to 100+ streaming, social, discovery, and regional platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, TikTok, Amazon Music, TIDAL, and Deezer.
What do I need ready before I upload?+
Have your final audio, cover artwork, release and track metadata, contributor information, release date, and any rights information needed for review ready to go.
Can I distribute music made with AI tools?+
Yes, as long as you have the necessary rights and the release follows applicable laws and platform policies. Platform acceptance, monetization, Content ID eligibility, and continued availability are not guaranteed.
What if my track contains a sample or is a cover?+
You need the licenses, permissions, or other rights required for any material you do not fully own. NORTH. may request rights documentation before delivery.
Can I put my own label name on a release?+
Yes. Artists and labels can use their own label name when they have the right to use it and the release information is accurate.
Can I remove a release after it is live?+
Yes. You can request a takedown through NORTH. Store processing times vary after the request is submitted.
