Creating smart links and promo pages

Create a shareable release destination from eligible NORTH releases.

What this guide covers

Create a shareable release destination from eligible NORTH releases.

A NORTH smart link gives an eligible release one public destination that can be shared before and after release day as store links become available.

Before you start

  • Open the intended release.
  • Confirm artwork, title, artist, and release date are correct.
  • Check that the release is in an eligible delivery state.
  • Plan where the public link will be shared.

Step by step

  1. 01

Open an eligible release from Releases.

  2. 02

Use the release actions menu to open Smart Link.

  3. 03

Create the link and review the release artwork, title, artist, and available destinations.

  4. 04

Share the public NORTH link in social profiles, campaigns, messages, and other promotional placements.

Check your work

  • The page shows the correct release identity.
  • Available store destinations open correctly.
  • The same URL can continue to be used after release day.
  • Promotion does not promise a store destination that has not become available yet.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Creating multiple public links for the same campaign.
  • Sharing a page before checking the displayed release details.
  • Assuming every store URL appears at the same time.
  • Replacing the campaign URL unnecessarily after release day.

What happens next

Keep using the same NORTH release link as additional destinations become available.

If the result on screen does not match what this guide describes, stop before creating duplicate catalog records or repeating a financial action. Use the visible status and error information when contacting NORTH support.
