Accept your royalty split invitation
Complete the email-based acceptance step after NORTH approves a release.
The email you should receive
After a NORTH release is approved, each payee on the release should receive an automated split notification at the email address saved in the Splits tab. The message identifies NORTH as the party assigning the royalty split and shows the release and track assets connected to the allocation.
The message includes a Beneficiary Portal action. The accounting portal is separate from your NORTH login and is where you create or access your payee account.
Set up the beneficiary portal account
- 01
Open the split notification sent to your payee email.
- 02
Choose the Beneficiary Portal action in the email.
- 03
If this is your first NORTH split, create your beneficiary account using the requested information. If you already have an account, sign in instead of creating a duplicate.
- 04
Complete any identity, tax, or payment onboarding requested in the secure portal.
- 05
Review the NORTH release/track allocation and accept the split.
Do not send tax IDs, identity documents, passwords, or PayPal credentials to NORTH support. Sensitive setup belongs inside the secure beneficiary portal.
After you accept
Keep access to the beneficiary portal. As financial reports are processed, your earnings are posted there on a monthly basis. You can use the portal to follow the balance connected to your accepted allocations.
When your available balance reaches $50, you can request a PayPal withdrawal through the portal. If the balance is below $50, it remains available and rolls forward as future earnings are reported.
If the email is missing
- 01
Confirm the release is approved by NORTH.
- 02
Ask the release owner to verify the exact email address saved for you in the NORTH Splits tab.
- 03
Check spam, junk, promotions, and filtered folders.
- 04
Do not create a different NORTH account just to try to trigger the email.
- 05
If the message still has not arrived, contact NORTH support with the release title and the payee email that should have received it.
