Limit a teammate to selected artists or labels

Scope access so a teammate works only with the catalog they are responsible for.

What this guide covers

Scope access so a teammate works only with the catalog they are responsible for.

Team access lets collaborators work inside the same workspace without sharing the owner’s credentials. Permissions can separate catalog, distribution, analytics, financial, revenue, and team-management responsibilities.

Before you start

  • Invite each person with their own email.
  • Decide what they actually need to view or edit.
  • Use view-only access when editing is unnecessary.
  • Treat financial and royalty visibility as sensitive access.

Step by step

  1. 01

    Open the teammate’s access settings.

  2. 02

Choose the artists or labels they should be able to work with.

  3. 03

    Save the scope.

  4. 04

Verify their catalog and analytics now show only the permitted area. Confirm the permission change affects only the intended teammate and workspace scope.

Check your work

  • The invitation went to the intended person.
  • Role and permissions match their responsibility.
  • Artist or label scope is limited appropriately.
  • Former team members no longer have access.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Sharing the owner password.
  • Giving broad admin access for a narrow task.
  • Leaving financial access enabled after responsibilities change.
  • Forgetting that catalog scope can also affect analytics visibility.

What happens next

Review permissions whenever your team or roster changes and remove access that is no longer required.

If the result on screen does not match what this guide describes, stop before creating duplicate catalog records or repeating a financial action. Use the visible status and error information when contacting NORTH support.
